About Jennifer

Emmy Award-Winning Journalist

Jennifer Bisram is an Emmy Award-winning television reporter and anchor currently at CBS New York. Over 20 years, her stories have aired locally and nationally on CBS, CNN, FOX and CNBC. An Indo-Caribbean journalist, she brings cultural depth and fierce curiosity to every story — from homicide investigations in Detroit and the Trayvon Martin tragedy in Orlando, to wild crime and drug trafficking cases in Miami to crime, culture and aging and caregiving in NYC.

Before CBS New York, Jennifer spent six years at PIX11 News, building a reputation as one of New York's most trusted reporters. Her tenure at WXYZ-TV in Detroit and WSVN-TV in Miami gave her the investigative depth and live-breaking-news experience that now defines her work.

Beyond the newsroom, Jennifer is the author of two children's books rooted in the Indo-Caribbean experience: Grandma Used to Say (2022) and First Day of School: Do You Want to Be My Friend? (2014).

Jennifer holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Queens College, CUNY. She is an active member of NABJ, SAJA, SAG-AFTRA, and the IRTS Foundation.
